Peas In a Pod Cake

Peas In APod Cake The Peas in a Pod cake was created for a set of twins.  It was based off a design on the internet that a friend wanted me to replicate for her sister's baby shower. 

Peas In APod Cake The cake is a single tier, covered in white fondant and decorated with green fondant polka-dots.

Peas In APod Cake The top of the cake features a pea pod with two babies made of gum paste - one boy and one girl.

Peas In APod Cake The bottom of the cake is decorated with a green banner welcoming the new babies into the world.

Around the back of the cake is an extruded fondant vine similar to the vines decorating the top of the cake and surrounding the pea pod.
