Triplet Baby Shower Cake

The Triplet Baby Shower Cake was created on or around 2010-01-30.

Triplet Baby Shower Cake A set of swaddling blankets that I bought for the lucky couple inspired the three tiers of this cake.   Each tier copied the pattern of one of the blankets. 

Triplet Baby Shower Cake Since the theme of the shower was "Peas in a Pod", a large pea pod with three baby girl faces was made out of fondant for the cake topper. 

Triplet Baby Shower Cake Each tier was a different flavor.  One of the tiers had to be carrot cake with cream cheese icing was the mother-to-be's only request.  The other tiers were a chocolate cake with mocha buttercream filling, and a white cake with raspberry and lemon buttercream fillings.
